The WIMS Center uses microsensors and robots to inspire K-12 students
in science, engineering, mathematics, and social skills. K-12 students
design and build science and engineering experiments in collaboration
with science teachers from local schools and WIMS faculty.
We are educating the emerging generation of engineers, scientists, and mathematicians about MEMS and Microsystems.
WIMS educators have developed a unique set of classes to prepare students
for real-world applications and problem solving. Classes are designed
to build upon the cross-disciplinary background needed by students and
professionals in broad engineering and science disciplines.
Courses for the practicing engineer are available as Continuing Education
Certificate Program and as a Degree Program. The courses can be taken
on campus or by distance learning.
